My alcohol consumption is minimal. I drink only on occassion and I keep my alcohol consumption to about 1-4 drinks. The next morning; however, I experience anxiety which perpetuates throughout the entire day. I do not suffer from anxiety and it is not a hangover because it will still occur even after just consuming 1 drink. I don’t know what I’m suffering from whether it could be an allergy to alcohol or whatever else. If you could please shed some light for me, that would be great. I looked up this already online and all the info I found only pertains to people who consume a massive quantity of alcohol or those who are alcoholics. I’m neither. I’m 22 yrs old and healthy so I have no idea what this could be. Thanks.

If so, can you provide a link to a study?

I’m considering being an alcoholic to get over my social anxiety. I’ve tried some medicines like lustral and some herbal stuff but they didn’t help much but when i drink too much in the evenings i feel relaxed at work next morning. If you ask me i prefer to be an alcoholic rather than living with stress and pain everyday. Alcohol can shorten my lifetime but same will happen other way as well. I don’t want to grow a tumor in my brain because of being under strees 5 days in week. I need your advices.

I’m prescribed Klonopin (clonazepam) 1 1/2 .5 mg tablets per day which is definantly not even touching the volume or anxiety I have.
My old doctor had me on 3 1 mg Tablets per day, which worked better but I find myself taking 2 mg to 3 mg to control my attacks sometimes multiple time’s a day.
Because I don’t have insurance yet with my job I have to deal with a state issued doctor, and she doesn’t exactly like giving out clonazepam to anyone so lately I’ve been turning to Alcohol to control the outbreaks.

I’m on 60 mgs of paxil and 50 mgs of seroquel. I like to drink on special occasions and today is my sister’s birthday. Do you think I’ll get sick or even die if I took my meds tonight? I’m planning on drinking maybe 4 or 5 beers and I won’t take my meds until maybe after 3 hours after I’m done drinking. Will I be ok? Thanks.

I was on lexapro for anxiety before and it really helped me. I stoped taking it because my moms insurance stoped paying for it- now my anxiety only seems to be becoming more and more severe as I get older and venture farther out into the world. I am thinking of going back on lexapro again- but if I did, would I still be able to go out and party with friends? After all, the goal here is to be able to lead a normal life- I’m still not living a normal life if my anxiety is gone but my activities are restricted.

My mind and heart feel like they run at twice the speed they should.
I’ve been drinking alcohol to slow my body down. Should I switch to medication, like Zoloft? Does Zoloft kill brain cells, like alcohol?
I am in no way an alcoholic. I drink every now and then when I have bad anxiety.
