I know it’s a horrible idea to mix alcohol and any medication, especially anti-anxiety meds and anti-depressants. I also know that everyone is different and people react differently. But I was just wondering if you know of any anti-anxiety meds/anti depressants that are not as horrible to mix with alcohol.

Ativan is used to treat anxiety, nervousness, and tension that are associated with anxiety disorders. Ativan (Lorazepam) may also be used to help in the prevention of severe alcohol withdraw symptoms (Delirium Tremens, or DTs), to treat amnesia, or in patients who are undergoing chemotherapy and have severe vomiting. does anyone know about alcohol detox and the side effects it has on the body. and what happens after they have left the clinic, will it be stessfull to come straight back home with 3 young children, ways of coping with living with someone after alcohol detox come on somebody must have gone through the same as iam going through at the moment. thanks
