The morning after drinking alcohol I suffer from anxiety.?
My alcohol consumption is minimal. I drink only on occassion and I keep my alcohol consumption to about 1-4 drinks. The next morning; however, I experience anxiety which perpetuates throughout the entire day. I do not suffer from anxiety and it is not a hangover because it will still occur even after just consuming 1 drink. I don’t know what I’m suffering from whether it could be an allergy to alcohol or whatever else. If you could please shed some light for me, that would be great. I looked up this already online and all the info I found only pertains to people who consume a massive quantity of alcohol or those who are alcoholics. I’m neither. I’m 22 yrs old and healthy so I have no idea what this could be. Thanks.

It is a hangover of sorts.
it’s not that uncommon.
Why do you drink at all??? Alcohol is a depressant and this is how your body adapts to its consumption.
Drinking alcohol can lead to dehydration. When the body is dehydrated, in can actually induce anxiety and nervousness.
Hangovers stem from dehydration. Headache is one symptom, anxiety is another.
Let’s see. You drink and then get anxiety attacks. You’d like to know how to avoid the attacks, but can’t figure it out. You’re 22 years old. I know it’s a long shot, but it might work. There’s what I’d try – - – don’t drink.
people have different symptoms when they have a hang over and one of the symptoms your getting is anxiety which is not uncommon. I suggest you think twice before drinking if you want to stop having that side effect.
its called withdrawel
Hi:
It sounds as if this is your body’s way of reacting to the alcohol that you have drank. Some people are more sensitive to alcohol than others and also some people have an allergic reaction.
But because of what alcohol does to your body whether it is 1 drink or 10 it is never safe. Your anxiety the morning after sounds as if to me, it is your body’s way of having a hang over.
Do yourself and your body a favor, just don’t drink, then you will avoid all together your morning after anxiety.
Is it worth a drink or 2 to be one of the “guys / gals” and then loose the whole next day to anxiety? I wouldn’t think so.
But the choice is yours and what you choose then you must accept the consequences either good or bad.
Be safe and be well
